Position Description:

The University of Louisville is seeking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst III. The main duties are to provide development and support for the reporting needs related to the enterprise data warehouse and other data sources.  The job will include requirements gathering, development and maintenance of a variety of data, business intelligence tools and reports using institutionally designated approaches and technologies to ensure success in delivery of customer solutions for reporting.

Be able to work with a wide variety of users at all levels of the institution and operate with minimal supervision and direction.  Have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to organize and make presentations when required.  Be capable of working with teams to complete projects and assignments and should be able to manage multiple projects as one time and take projects from initiation to completion on schedule

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Elicit data requirements for data marts, reports, and applications.  Build and publish data marts, reports, and visualizations.  Facilitate development of data definitions and metadata documentation.  Coordinate distributed application development efforts to support specialized needs across campus.  Maintain existing reports and visualizations.  Organize reports and train users on reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in CIS/Math/Technical area and 5 years of experience. 

  • Proficient in MS Office 365 – Outlook and Excel and demonstrated AI experience. 

  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead small projects including change management. 

  • Proficient with SQL including query building and tuning.Experience with enterprise reporting systems. 

  • Experience with MS SQL Server, MS SSRS, MS SSIS, MS SSMS, PowerBI, and PowerShell a plus.

Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
