Full Job Description
We are seeking a Business Development Representative to play a key role in growing our reach by identifying and advancing potential clients within targeted market segments. This role builds strategic relationships, uncovers client needs, and helps move complex opportunities forward through consultative conversations, market insight, and a clear articulation of the value our products and solutions can deliver.

We're looking for Business Development Representative with:

Experience: Three (3) years of experience in business development, sales, consulting, or related client-facing roles

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sale, Finance, or related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)

Other: Travel and/or attend off-site or client-facing meetings during and outside of standard working hours

What a day would look like:
  • Identifies and develops strategic business opportunities within targeted employer, payer, or partner segments.
  • Conducts research and account planning to understand organizational priorities, business challenges, and potential use cases for products and solutions.
  • Leads discovery conversations to identify client needs and translate complex analytics concepts into business value.
  • Builds a focused pipeline of strategic opportunities and maintains relationships with key stakeholders to support ongoing engagement.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to shape and position products and solutions aligned to client needs.
  • Develops and delivers sales proposals and presentations that clearly communicate products and features.
  • Advances opportunities through defined stages (e.g., discovery, proposal, finalist) in partnership with stakeholders.
  • Provides structured feedback to internal teams on market trends, client needs, and solution effectiveness.
  • Updates and accurately maintains CRM with documentation of activities, call notes, pipeline, future tasks, and other required information to support overall sales plan.
  • Supports development and refinement of go-to-market strategies, messaging, and value propositions.
  • Participates in industry and client-facing activities to build awareness and credibility in the market.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $73,321 - $102,650. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance).

The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, travel requirements, internal equity, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
