About the Role
Radiant is hiring a Business Development Manager to be based out of El Segundo, California. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role is for someone early in their BD career who is hungry, scrappy, and ready to build a pipeline from scratch. There are no warm leads handed to you here. We need someone who can independently identify potential customers, get in the door, and drive commercial conversations forward in a market our product will be the first to create.

This is fundamentally a sales role for someone who wants to prove themselves. The right candidate has enough experience to know how to run a deal process, but is early enough in their career that closing their first major agreements in an emerging industry would be a defining moment. If you are competitive, curious, and want to do some of the most meaningful commercial work of your career, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Independently source and qualify leads across commercial verticals including C&I, utilities, remote communities, and defense.
  • Lead client conversations from first contact through discovery, proposal, and term sheet.
  • Support negotiation of commercial documents toward binding agreements.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline from zero, with an emphasis on quality over volume.
  • Develop tailored proposals, grant letters, and external communications.
  • Learn the fundamentals of siting, licensing, permitting, and project finance well enough to speak credibly with customers and identify what it takes to get a deal across the finish line.
  • Act as an ambassador for Radiant's mission, values, and brand in every customer interaction.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related commercial role.
  • Demonstrated ability to source opportunities independently, not just manage inbound leads.
  • Comfortable running a full sales cycle with limited supervision
  • US Citizen or green card holder.
  • Ability to travel and attend in-person meetings.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:
  • Experience selling or developing business around complex hardware, infrastructure, or capital equipment.
  • Exposure to government or institutional customers.
  • MBA or equivalent experience in finance, consulting, or an adjacent field.
  • A genuine competitive streak and a track record of doing things that were hard to do.
  • Passion for nuclear energy and its role in a carbon-free future.

Additional Requirements:
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
Benefits and Perks
  • Stock: Substantial incentive stock plan for all full-time employees.
  • Medical: 100% up to base silver level plan for employee + 50% dependents, offers up to Platinum plans.
  • One Medical: Sponsored memberships for employees and their dependents.
  • Vision: 100% top tier plan coverage + 50% for dependents.
  • Dental: 100% top tier plan coverage, orthodontia extra, 50% for dependents.
  • Voluntary life, accident, hospital, critical illness, commuter and FSA/HSA are offered as employee contributed benefits.
  • 8-weeks of paid parental leave for all parents. Additional paid pregnancy leave for CA employees.
  • Daily catered lunch. Free snacks and drinks.
  • Flexible PTO policy. Remote workday allocation.
  • Company and team-bonding events, happy hours and in-person camaraderie.
  • Beautiful El Segundo headquarters close to the Pacific Ocean.
