This role is the strategic partnerships lead within the Business Development Team, responsible for helping to evaluate, structure, and advise on infrastructure capacity deals, energy partnerships, and capital-intensive partnership constructs. The role operates at the intersection of Meta's external partnership strategy and its infrastructure investment decisions, providing practitioner-level domain expertise on energy, data center economics, and project finance to the VP Partnerships and leadership.
Responsibilities
Support infrastructure capacity deals across cloud, lease, and self-build pipelines. Assess developer credibility, cost structures, power procurement, and financing terms
• Support structuring of large-scale capital partnership vehicles (SPVs, JVs, tax equity, project finance) in coordination with Finance, Legal, and Infrastructure teams
• Provide strategic analysis on energy and data center market dynamics, including power generation (nuclear, renewables, gas), grid/transmission, utility economics, and regulatory/permitting landscape
• Synthesize intelligence across multiple deal workstreams to produce unified capital allocation views for leadership's decision-making
• Serve as Business Development's domain expert on infrastructure and financing, ensuring the partnerships team contributes informed, independent perspectives in cross-functional forums
• Partner with Infrastructure, Finance, and Legal teams as a strategic liaison, ensuring alignment between partnership strategy and infrastructure execution
Minimum Qualifications
• BA/BS Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline)
• 10+ years in infrastructure finance, energy project development, or capital markets with direct experience in large-scale ($1B+) project finance, JV structuring, or infrastructure M&A
• Knowledge of energy and power markets, including generation technologies, grid dynamics, PPA structures, and utility economics
• Experience in evaluating or negotiating data center, hyperscaler, or large-load infrastructure deals
• Track record in structured finance (tax equity, project debt, securitization, SPV formation)
• Ability to operate across disciplines (engineering, legal, finance, and commercial) and to synthesize complex deal structures into strategic recommendations
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
• Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
• MBA or equivalent; engineering or technical undergraduate background preferred
