Job Description:

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in FPGA-based solutions in the global Machine Vision market! This role focuses on expanding design wins across a wide range of vision systems - from entry-level smart cameras to high-end multi-sensor platforms and frame grabbers. You will act as the bridge between customers, product management, engineering, and ecosystem partners to position FPGA solutions against competing architectures including ASSPs, GPUs, and microcontroller-based platforms.

Machine vision is shifting toward higher data rates, multi-sensor fusion, and edge AI. FPGAs are uniquely positioned to unify sensing, processing, and control - but winning requires strong technical business leadership at the system level.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market Development & Strategy
  • Identify and prioritize target segments including:
    • Factory automation, robotics, logistics, semiconductor inspection
    • Automotive vision systems (ADAS, surround view, in-cabin monitoring)
    • Transportation systems (smart traffic, transit surveillance, tolling, infrastructure monitoring)
  • Track and interpret trends in:
    • Sensor technologies (CMOS scaling, global shutter, stacked sensors)
    • Interfaces (SLVS-EC, MIPI CSI-2, CoaXPress, GigE Vision, USB3 Vision)
    • Edge AI and multi-sensor fusion architecture

2. Customer Engagement & Design Wins
  • Build relationships with OEMs, camera manufacturers, Tier-1 suppliers, and system integrators
  • Drive early-stage engagement with Sales to:
    • Influence system architecture decisions
    • Position FPGA-based solutions in vision and edge AI systems
    • Secure design-ins across target applications
  • Support technical sales discussions spanning:
    • ISP pipelines (HDR, denoising, color processing)
    • Vision pipelines (filtering, segmentation, feature extraction)
    • Edge AI / ML inference (CNN-based workloads)
    • Engage in system-level discussions

3. Ecosystem & Partnerships
  • Build and manage relationships with:
    • Sensor and camera module vendors
    • IP providers and software stack vendors (vision libraries, AI frameworks)
    • Automotive Tier-1 suppliers and transportation system integrators
  • Enable joint solutions and reference designs to accelerate customer adoption

4. Sales Enablement & Execution
  • Develop high-impact sales collateral including, Solution briefs, Reference architectures (multi-camera, edge AI systems), Competitive positioning vs alternative technologies, ROI / TCO analyses
  • Support Sales teams with:
    • Use-case driven messaging for Automotive and Transportation applications
    • Customer presentations and technical positioning
    • Opportunity qualification and deal progression
  • Deliver presentations at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows

5. Internal Collaboration
  • Provide structured market feedback to product management and engineering
  • Influence product direction based on customer needs related to:
    • I/O bandwidth and connectivity
    • Memory architecture
    • Edge AI capabilities
    • Packaging and integration
  • Support pricing discussions and business case development
