PositionSummary:GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Business Development Manager to provide support to one or more facilities. This role is responsible for prospecting and sourcing of high-value clients, developing tailored solutions to meet their waste management, recycling and sustainability goals, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, industry knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Strategic Growth:
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand services within existing territory by understanding client needs and aligning them with company offerings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized waste recycling and composting solutions that meet client objectives.
- Develop and execute territory plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Client Consultation and Expertise:
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing clients with insights into industry trends, regulatory updates, and sustainability best practices.
- Partner with clients to develop and implement waste reduction, recycling, composting and sustainability initiatives.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor pipeline performance, including service delivery, financial metrics, and client satisfaction.
- Use CRM tools to track sales activities.
Collaboration and Problem Solving:
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to resolve service issues and ensure seamless execution of client programs.
- Advocate for client needs within the organization while balancing operational capabilities and business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:- Proven experience in sales, or business development, preferably in the waste and recycling industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of waste management operations, recycling processes, and sustainability practices.
- Demonstrated success in management of a sales pipeline and driving top line revenue growth via new logo sales.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build trust and credibility with clients at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for client visits and events.
Language Skill:- Proficiency in English and/or Spanish
