The Role:

  • This role is the commercial engine of our Canadian expansion.
  • You will be responsible for developing new business, opening strategic accounts, and driving revenue growth, working closely with the General Manager and global teams.
  • We are looking for a high-performance, results-driven professional with strong industry relationships and a hunter mindset.
  • This role acts as a key link between the General Country Manager and the commercial execution, contributing to the structuring, development, and optimization of the sales process across Canada.
  • The position has a strong focus on key account development and long-term relationship management, beyond transactional sales activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the expansion of SPT's commercial presence across Canada
  • Develop and manage strategic key accounts, focusing on long-term partnerships and revenue sustainability
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the commercial strategy and sales processes
  • Support the General Manager in structuring the commercial function and scaling the business
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a tailored and solution-oriented approach for each client
  • Identify high-value opportunities and prioritize efforts based on strategic impact and market potential
  • Own and develop a robust sales pipeline and new business opportunities
  • Identify, approach, and secure strategic clients in the mining sector
  • Manage and support the team from a leading position in the performance of the full sales cycle (prospecting → negotiation → closing)
  • Build strong relationships with mining companies, drilling contractors, and technical stakeholders
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions and product demonstrations
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to support growth
  • Work closely with the General Manager to execute the commercial strategy


What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development or technical sales in the mining industry
  • Highly preferred: solid knowledge or experience in mineral exploration, drilling operations, and/or geology
  • Experience managing or developing key accounts within the mining sector
  • Ability to understand and position technical solutions in complex sales environments
  • Strong network within mining, drilling, or exploration sectors in Canada
  • Proven track record in closing deals and generating revenue growth
  • Commercial mindset with a strong hunter mentality
  • Technical understanding of mining equipment, drilling, or geophysical tools
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Fluent English
  • Based in Canada with valid work authorization
