Full Job Description
A leading health and wellness ingredient company is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Business Development Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives across the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, and functional ingredient sectors. This senior role focuses on developing new business opportunities, expanding key accounts, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships and solution-based selling. Key Responsibilities Strategic Business Development Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company growth objectives. Identify and secure new business opportunities with supplement, food & beverage, and wellness brands. Drive growth across categories including sports nutrition, healthy ageing, cognitive wellness, and functional beverages. Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities. Key Account Management Develop executive-level relationships with customers, distributors, and manufacturing partners. Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts, and partnership agreements. Deliver market insights and ingredient solutions that support customer innovation and growth. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure long-term account success. Commercial Strategy Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging wellness categories. Partner with Marketing, R&D, Regulatory, and Scientific Affairs teams to support product positioning and launches. Represent the company at key industry events and trade shows. Leadership & Collaboration Support strategic commercial initiatives and product launches. Mentor junior team members where appropriate. Contribute to forecasting, annual planning, and long-term business strategy. Qualifications Required Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field. 6+ years of business development, strategic sales, or account management experience within nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, functional ingredients, or health & wellness industries. Proven track record of achieving revenue growth and developing strategic customer relationships. Strong understanding of branded ingredients, ingredient commercialization, and industry trends. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Preferred Experience Experience selling science-backed nutraceutical or functional ingredient solutions. Existing industry relationships within supplement brands, manufacturers, or ingredient distributors. International business development exposure is a plus.
