Overview

The Thermal Ceramics division designs, manufactures and installs a broad range of thermal insulation products that significantly reduce energy consumption and emissions ina variety of high temperature processing applications. Our product offering is extensive and covers application needs from Industrial to Commercial markets.

Responsibilities

We have an opportunity for a Business Development Manager within the Aerospace/Energy Storage. Working with R&D and Sales and Marketing to help maintain business, find new opportunities, and work with the most advanced insulation materials.

  • Administration and support of Pipeline measurement tools and systems:
    • SOW, New Business DP (including forecasting)
    • CRM tools and other dash-board systems (including forecasting)
    • Other related statistical analysis of business activities
  • Administration and combination of Business and Marketing planning process with site GM/PM roles and key commercial sales and marketing management. This role is the owner of the process for the specific designed market (Aerospace), while the content, strategy, and administration of the plan is owned by the site GM, Operations, and Product Management roles within the Business Unit.
  • Budgeting process coordination (by product line and market)
  • Administer the content of the new business development, this would include:
    • Development of agreed upon total Sales, GM, PM and Marketing participation congruent with the expectations of the Sales Leadership
    • Agreeand take responsibility forsales andgrowth target (revenue and profit) on a defined End Market; aim to maximise share of customer budget versus competitors
    • Relevant ongoing dash-board progress updates for stakeholders (Sales/trackers, pipeline, PL/Market Analysis, Quotation, and price point analysisetc.).
    • Focused sales team structural co-management with local Sales Manager and reporting administration and support to deliver and execute sales targets
  • Commercial Sales and Marketing Team key project management as directed by the line manager. Examples would include administration of action trackers related to Projects, coordination of multiple stakeholder GMs or PMs in a commercial agreement crossing multiple product lines, rebate and purchase incentive programs, etc.
  • Remain actively engaged with the distribution and customer base through a designed method of account exposure in addition to as required tactical or strategic contact activities.
  • Keeping up to date on market trends.
  • Monitor, support, and enforce the sales plans, policies and procedures contained in the approved marketing and sales plans.
  • Be updated on latest R&D Americas product/application development list and share with relevant stakeholders
  • Monthly meetings to discuss current sales and marketing trends, events, and activities or progress towardoverall goals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within Aerospace Markets
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time within the US
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • This position requires use of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).
  • Individual must be a:
    • Citizen of the United States, or
    • Permanent resident alien of the United States, or
    • Protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) as defined by 22CFR120.15

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Refractory or Insulation Products Industry preferred
  • Working with customers:building relationships, finding new opportunities, improving product usage
  • Forming a sales approach: experience of forming a go-to-market strategy for a defined audience
  • Experience in the Aerospace/Energy Service Market as an active participant inside customers and following applications
  • Client Relationship Management platforms
