Position Overview

Win the programs that shape tomorrow's therapies. As FUJIFILM Biotechnologies' Business Development Director for Commercial Process Development (PD), you'll own the full Business Development cycle-from identifying and qualifying opportunities to negotiating scope and closing signed contracts-focusing on early-phase programs that scale from cell line development through pre-clinical manufacturing to Phase 2. You'll turn market insight into territory plans, build executive-level relationships, and convert complex client needs into solutions that our teams can deliver-fueling growth for the organization and impact for patients worldwide.

What you'll do
  • Represent FUJIFILM Biotechnologies' commercial PD capabilities to organizations within your region; own C-suite and technical stakeholder engagement and solution positioning .
  • Expand new CDMO business for FUJIFILM-prospect, qualify, and build a healthy pipeline that converts to signed agreements.
  • Develop account plans and present them to leadership with a strategic "how-to-win" mindset-outlining whitespace, competitive plays, milestones, and forecast.
  • Expand and develop program scope; set up strategic contractual agreements with clients that align value, risk, and timelines.
  • Keep systems and leadership up to date with customer needs and account goals; translate insights into clear recommendations and BD strategies.
  • Represent FUJIFILM Biotechnologies at conferences and tradeshows to build brand presence, network, and pipeline.
  • Partner with the Commercial Solutions team to ensure all technical scope and business solutions support customer needs.
  • Provide customer feedback to internal teams to enhance future solutions and win rates.
  • Partner with Program Management, the Commercial BIO team, and the Advanced Therapeutical Team to ensure project execution, new scope, and changing business needs support both customer and FUJIFILM goals.
  • Work in close alignment with global directors on account growth and shifts in customer dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Legal and Commercial Solution members to ensure FUJIFILM's business needs are appropriately addressed in proposals and contracts.

Minimum education requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field is essential.

Minimum experience requirements
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in the CDMO industry, with preferred experience in program management or other commercial customer-facing functions.
  • Strong understanding of the CDMO service industry.
  • Advanced insight in/experience with IP and legal issues.
  • Proven ability to write business documents.
  • Proven negotiation skills.
  • Advanced presentation skills.

This is a global position that will support all our FUJIFILM Biotechnologies sites.

The US salary range for this position is $134,200 to $175,375. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
