Full Job Description
We are looking for a Business Development Associate - LatAm based in Miami.

The Impact You Will Have

Through conducting key analyses and providing actionable insights, the Business Development Associate ("BDA") will work directly with the Regional Head of Distribution - LatAm to support the business development activities that drive topline revenue: originate, execute, and retain business. The BDA will support the LatAM region and will also collaborate across the Distribution organization in analyzing new business, upcoming renewals, broker performance, constructing LOB-specific pipelines (e.g., criteria-based prioritization) and other related activities. The BDA will also be responsible for producing management reports and developing and maintaining relationships with the broker community in Miami. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, baseline industry knowledge, and strategic thinking to drive business initiatives and enhance the efficacy of Distribution activity.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
  • Analyzing new and renewal business opportunities.
  • Assessing broker performance and market trends.
  • Identifying patterns and insights that can inform strategic decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Working closely with the LatAM LOBs to ensure plan achievement.
  • Working with Regional and Global Distribution to create and manage a single pipeline platform covering all LOBs, prioritizing opportunities based on specific criteria to ensure focus on the most promising and strategically aligned prospects.
  • Engaging with various teams within the Distribution organization to ensure a unified approach to originate, execute and retain business.
  • Sharing data and insights across teams to support cohesive strategies and initiatives.
  • Producing detailed reports for regional and global management, summarizing key findings and business performance metrics, ensuring reports are clear, accurate, easily digestible, and provide actionable recommendations, where warranted.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of business development strategies.
  • Using analytical skills and industry knowledge to enhance the effectiveness of Distribution efforts and initiatives
  • Clarifying "success" and development metrics and methodologies for measuring success.
  • Developing best practices for Distribution analysis and reporting including, approaches, methodologies, tools, etc., and aligning with global reporting standards, when necessary


What You'll Bring to the Role
  • 3+ years of proven expertise in supporting business development activities within the Property & Casualty Insurance industry;
  • Proficiency in analyzing large datasets to extract meaningful insights and the ability to use quantitative methods to identify trends, patterns, and correlations that inform business decisions;
  • Expertise in using analytical tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau or Power BI);
  • Familiarity with business intelligence platforms to create reports and dashboards;
  • Ability to create comprehensive and visually appealing reports that communicate complex data in an understandable manner;
  • Project management skills, including project planning, coordination, monitoring, problem solving and stakeholder engagement;
  • Ability to analyze complex data/information from multiple sources and resolve issues;
  • Ability to build and foster relationships internally across the organization and externally with our broker partners;
  • Ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency and contribute to data-driven decision making;
  • Ability to express ideas and messages clearly, both written and verbally;
  • Ability to speak Spanish required (Portuguese a plus); and
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

The annualized base pay range for this role is $90,000 - $135,000. The annual base salary range represents a nationwide market range. The actual salary for this position may be above and will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the AzC total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
