Full Job Description
ECS Federal is seeking a Business Development Account Executive to drive growth across the U.S. Army market. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and shaping strategic opportunities that align with ECS's capabilities in Cybersecurity, Enterprise Transformation, Data & AI, Cloud, and Digital Modernization.

This position serves as a key member of the Growth organization and is responsible for developing and executing account growth strategies, expanding customer relationships, and positioning ECS for long-term success across Army organizations. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of Army missions, acquisition environments, and modernization priorities, along with a proven ability to develop qualified pipelines and contribute to the pursuit of large, complex opportunities.

The Business Development Account Executive will work collaboratively with capture managers, technical solution leaders, proposal teams, and operational leadership to develop winning strategies and deliver sustained growth.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans that align customer mission priorities with ECS capabilities and growth objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Army senior leaders, acquisition officials, program managers, and industry partners.
  • Identify, qualify, and shape opportunities throughout the business development lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities focused on Army modernization, digital transformation, cyber operations, enterprise IT, and data-driven mission solutions.
  • Position ECS solutions and discriminators to address customer challenges and emerging requirements.
  • Support the development of opportunity strategies, competitive assessments, teaming approaches, and customer engagement plans.
  • Collaborate with Capture Managers to transition qualified opportunities into active captures and support pursuit execution through award.
  • Partner with delivery and technical organizations to identify organic growth opportunities and leverage existing customer relationships.
  • Monitor Army budget priorities, acquisition strategies, procurement forecasts, and market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Represent ECS at customer engagements, industry events, and partner meetings.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of business development, capture, account management, or growth experience supporting the Department of Defense, with significant experience in the U.S. Army market.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, qualifying, and shaping opportunities valued at $100 million or greater.
  • Knowledge of Army organizational structures, acquisition processes, and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience supporting opportunities related to Cybersecurity, Enterprise IT, Cloud, Digital Transformation, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or Mission Modernization.
  • Ability to develop and maintain executive-level customer and partner relationships.
  • Experience working in a collaborative growth environment across business development, capture, proposal, technical, and operations teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance; Top Secret preferred.
