ObjectiveRepresent UAP by building a strong network of clients and opportunities aligned with company strategy. Collaborate with U.S. and global teams to secure and successfully onboard new projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Networking- Build and maintain relationships with artists, curators, galleries, and institutions
- Identify and pursue new project opportunities across public and private art sectors
- Represent UAP at industry events, studio visits, and gallery openings
- Maintain and track a pipeline of active opportunities and priority ("Hot List") projects
- Collaborate with internal teams to support early-stage concept development and client engagement
Project Qualification & Estimation- Gather project requirements and assess fit with UAP capabilities
- Coordinate with Estimation and Delivery teams to define scope and pricing
- Support internal commercial reviews to ensure project viability
Proposals & Client Management- Prepare and present proposals outlining scope, timeline, and assumptions
- Review client contracts and support leadership in negotiations
- Maintain client relationships through project award and handoff to delivery teams
- Ensure a smooth transition of awarded projects with clear alignment on scope and expectations
Skills & Qualifications- Experience in business development, client relations, or project-based sales
- Architectural or Gallery experience would be helpful in this role
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe InDesign preferred
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Airtable)
- Basic knowledge of Rhino 3D is a plus
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer and using design software
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, mouse use, and handling design tools or materials
- Ability to view and interpret detailed drawings, plans, and computer screens for prolonged periods
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, or reaching while reviewing prototypes or materials
- Ability to lift and carry light to moderate items (typically up to 10-20 lbs), such as samples or drawings
- May require occasional visits to manufacturing facilities, workshops, or job sites, which can involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and environments
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when required in shop or field settings
- Ability to travel occasionally to vendor sites, job sites, or other company locations
Compensation & Benefits- Business Developer $75,000 - $90,000 annually
