Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst with a strong background in large-scale data applications, data analysis, mapping, and transformation to support enterprise-level initiatives within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on SQL expertise along with deep knowledge of policy and claims data and will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and business value.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform end-to-end data analysis, including data profiling, validation, and transformation for large-scale data integration and reporting initiatives.
• Develop source-to-target data mappings (STTM) and supporting documentation based on business requirements.
• Gather, analyze, and translate functional business requirements into clear technical specifications.
• Collaborate with business users, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Partner with data engineers and developers to implement and validate data consolidation, standardization, and transformation logic.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and accuracy across large datasets.
• Perform data quality assessments and recommend appropriate data cleansing and enrichment strategies.
• Apply Property & Casualty Insurance domain knowledge, including policy administration and claims lifecycle processes, to ensure data aligns with business requirements.
• Facilitate communication between business stakeholders, data modelers, SMEs, and technical teams to support successful data delivery and adoption.
• Create and maintain clear technical and business documentation throughout the data lifecycle.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in data analysis, data mapping, and data transformation within enterprise data environments.
• Strong experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain.
• Strong understanding of P&C policy administration and claims lifecycle data.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including analytical functions, complex queries, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience developing source-to-target mapping (STTM) documentation.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes, data flows, and enterprise data integration.
• Experience with data profiling, validation, consolidation, standardization, and transformation.
• Experience working with heterogeneous data sources and large-scale datasets.
• Strong business analysis and requirements-gathering capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical teams.
• Strong documentation skills with the ability to develop clear and concise technical and business artifacts.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data integration, modernization, or reporting initiatives within the insurance industry.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data cleansing, and data enrichment methodologies.

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
