Full Job Description
Citi is looking for a Business Analyst and Data Analyst (Business Analytics Sr Analyst - C12) to join the Enterprise Data Office and Product Solutions team, where you will play an important role in ensuring that data used for regulatory reporting, risk management, and business decision-making is accurate, timely, and fit for purpose. Working at the intersection of Capital Markets, Risk, Finance, and Technology, you will contribute to how derivatives and securities financing transaction data flows across Citi's enterprise systems, identifying gaps, supporting systematic solutions, and building analytical tools that keep critical reporting processes running with precision.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze end-to-end data flows for derivatives and securities financing transaction products across enterprise systems, identifying gaps and supporting target-state adoption.
  • Assess data elements used in regulatory reports, documenting current and target-state data mappings and producing structured gap analyses.
  • Design and implement data governance controls, including data quality rules and reconciliation frameworks, to improve the reliability of critical reporting data.
  • Partner with Markets, Risk, Finance, Technology, and Data Engineering teams to gather requirements, define data standards, and support the prioritization and remediation of data quality issues.
  • Prepare detailed functional specifications covering data transformations, calculation logic, and aggregation rules to enable systematic and scalable solutions.
  • Perform daily variance analysis across assigned trading books, attributing movements to market risk factors, trade activity, model changes, and pricing adjustments with granular precision.
  • Build and maintain analytical tools and dashboards that automate variance reporting, reducing manual effort and improving time-to-insight for stakeholders.
  • Contribute to monthly governance forums by presenting findings and supporting data-driven decisions that advance regulatory and business reporting outcomes.

Required qualifications & skills:
  • Five or more years of experience in banking or financial services, spanning business analysis, information technology, or data controls and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to data initiatives from analysis through execution, engaging cross-functional teams and communicating findings clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using SQL, Python or Excel to interrogate large, complex datasets and surface actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering and automation using generative AI and large language models to improve data workflows.
  • Solid knowledge of one of the Capital Markets or Banking products listed below, with hands-on experience analyzing derivatives (Equities, FX, Interest Rate Swaps, Commodities) or securities financing transactions (Repo, Reverse Repo, Securities Lending and Borrowing) or Wholesale Loans.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining organization and delivery momentum across complex, cross-functional workstreams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.

Beneficial skills & qualifications:
  • Ability to present complex data findings and solution proposals to senior business partners and support stakeholder alignment.
  • Experience with data management tooling, including process mapping, data lineage, and governance platforms, with a working understanding of regulatory data requirements and data quality standards.
