Full Job Description
The Business Analyst Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to a team responsible for delivering high-quality business analysis across projects and initiatives. The position leads, coaches, and develops team members while managing performance, workload, resources, and day-to-day team operations. It ensures business needs are clearly defined, requirements are complete and ready for delivery, and complex issues are resolved through effective collaboration with business and technology partners. The position also supports strategic planning, promotes consistent standards and practices, and drives continuous improvement to strengthen team performance and successful project delivery.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members by setting clear goals and expectations, providing regular performance feedback, coaching, training, and support for workload management, productivity, issue resolution, professional growth, and job performance.
  • Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, performance evaluations, personnel documentation, adherence to company policies and procedures, and providing recommendations regarding hiring, salary adjustments, and separation decisions to leadership.
  • Support strategic planning and resource management by evaluating team priorities, capacity, and organizational needs, while aligning team activities and project roadmaps with divisional and corporate objectives.
  • Review requirements and deliverables for quality, clarity, completeness, testability, and business alignment.
  • Identify and resolve requirements gaps, risks, dependencies, and readiness issues before they affect delivery.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to clarify needs, align stakeholders, and drive decisions.
  • Support Agile delivery by ensuring requirements and stories are refined, understood, and ready for development.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to translate business needs into effective requirements and solutions.
  • Resolve complex or escalated issues involving requirements, scope, feasibility, dependencies, or cross-functional alignment.
  • Assess business and technology impacts across systems, processes, data, customers, and related initiatives.
  • Maintain requirements throughout the project lifecycle, including changes, decisions, assumptions, dependencies, and traceability.
  • Monitor quality and consistency across projects and provide guidance or support as needed.
  • Promote standards and continuous improvement by identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen practices and delivery.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, with related experience demonstrating the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Supervisors and managers are required to have completed NYCM's internal leadership development programs, including Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ1) and Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ2). Exeternal hires must complete required leadership programs, Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ1) and Employee Enrichment Journey (EEJ2).

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development experience with the ability to train others.
  • Strong knowledge of business analyst practices, including requirements development, process analysis, impact assessment, and documentation.
  • Ability to align team priorities, resources, and activities with divisional and organizational objectives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, clarify complex topics, and drive decisions.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships and promote alignment across business, technology, and project teams.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, assess impacts and dependencies, and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated sound judgment, ownership, and ability to make or facilitate timely decisions and resolve escalated issues.
  • Knowledge of Agile practices and the ability to support requirements readiness, planning, and successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Market Range: 13 / Exempt- 40 hours per week / Hybrid- 3 days in office

Salary: $79,756-$132,926
