Full Job Description
Role Summary:

This Full Time role sits within the Program Management & Delivery team supporting Platform Engineering, AI and Advanced Analytics. In this role, you will help deliver the products and platforms that enable OMERS Investments to analyze investment opportunities, make investment decisions, and optimize portfolio outcomes.

You will partner with investment teams across Capital Markets, Infrastructure, Private Equity, Growth Equity, and Ventures, as well as Finance, Risk & Compliance, to translate business needs into clear requirements and support transformational initiatives across the enterprise. This position is important because it strengthens the data, analytics, and delivery capabilities that support investment decision-making.

You will be responsible for:
  • Document existing business processes, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, and help technical teams understand requirements for process automation and enhancement.
  • Analyze systems, functionality, data, infrastructure, and integrations to support new features, system enhancements, and platform improvements.
  • Gather, document, and maintain business and functional requirements using techniques such as user stories, requirements documents, use case diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
  • Support the investigation of business and system issues, evaluate options, and contribute to solution recommendations that improve data and analytics capabilities.
  • Participate in design review sessions and help ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately reflected in solution designs.
  • Assist in the development and execution of business test plans, including support for performance, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
  • Work closely with the Program Manager and project team to understand priorities, delivery objectives, and support successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Senior Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Power BI developers, Data Scientists, IT Infrastructure specialists, Security specialists, Enterprise Architects, Investment Professionals, and business stakeholders.
  • Support change management activities, process improvement initiatives, stakeholder communications, and project delivery activities as required.
  • Contribute to project documentation, status reporting, requirements traceability, and other project-related artifacts.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and documenting business and system needs.
  • Experience documenting business processes and translating business requirements into clear functional requirements for technical teams.
  • Product-oriented mindset, with the ability to translate business problems into outcomes, user journeys, MVP scope, and measurable success criteria.
  • Experience supporting data, analytics, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives by documenting business objectives, requirements, decision points, risks, controls, and user adoption needs.
  • Working understanding of data lifecycle concepts, including data quality, lineage, metadata, business glossaries, data ownership, and control requirements.
  • Ability to ask effective questions, analyze business needs, and document requirements using techniques such as user stories, process flows, use case diagrams, and data flow diagrams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple work items and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, business, technology-related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn new business domains and technologies.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Financial services or investment industry experience.
  • Exposure to financial or investment management systems.
  • Experience supporting Private Markets, Capital Markets, or related investment teams.
  • Exposure to data, analytics, Power BI, reporting, data science, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Knowledge of business analysis frameworks and methodologies, including BABOK and Agile requirements practices.
  • ECBA, CCBA, CBAP, or other business analysis certifications are considered an asset.

The expected salary range for this position is $72,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year.
