Position Summary

Emagine IT is seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal government client's project by translating business and operational needs into technical requirements, building and maintaining performance dashboards in ServiceNow, and producing the reporting products that feed the Government's Monthly Service Review (MSR) and Quarterly Executive Review (QER) cadence. The role provides business-process and systems analysis, change-management support, and knowledge-management discipline across all task areas.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions
  • Capture, document, and manage business and operational requirements, translating business-process needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Build and maintain ServiceNow metrics dashboards and produce KPI/SLA products that feed the COR's MSR and QER cadence
  • Prepare Monthly Status Report inputs and supporting analytics, including trend analysis and recommended improvements.
  • Provide business-process and systems analysis, improvement, and implementation support across the all service areas.
  • Support change management, training, configuration management, strategic planning, and knowledge management activities.
  • Assess operational and functional baselines and identify IT gaps or deficiencies affecting the ability to meet client objectives; recommend enhancements.
  • Support documentation and artifact management (SOPs, knowledge articles, governance artifacts) in approved repositories.
  • Coordinate with task-area leads to ensure metrics, requirements, and reporting are accurate, auditable, and aligned to Government requirements.

Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience: Three (3)+ years in business analysis, requirements management, or IT service reporting, preferably in a federal or enterprise IT environment.
  • Analytics & reporting: Demonstrated ability to build performance dashboards and translate operational data into narrative analysis for executive audiences.
  • Tools: Working proficiency with ServiceNow (reporting/Performance Analytics) and with data-analysis and presentation tools.
  • Clearance & citizenship: Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 2 (Moderate Risk Public Trust) background investigation. U.S. citizenship is required for this position, consistent with the requirements of the supporting federal contract. All personnel must satisfy the government client's suitability and background-investigation requirements before receiving physical or logical access to facilities or systems.

Preferred Qualifications
  • ServiceNow (e.g., Certified System Administrator or Performance Analytics) credential.
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
  • IIBA (CBAP/CCBA) or equivalent business-analysis certification.
  • Experience with federal IT performance reporting and SLA/KPI governance.

Work Location
