Job Description

This Business Analyst role is a critical member of the Data & Analytics team, accountable for delivering operational reporting, scalable automation, and forward-looking insights that strengthen decision-making across multiple contract lines. Reporting to the Manager of Data & Analytics, the position drives KPI visibility, data pipeline reliability, and proactive risk identification to support the operational readiness and performance of the C&W Services team. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical discipline, business process understanding, and modern data tool capability, including AI-enabled ways of working, to turn complex operational data into measurable business value.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Unified Insights: Integrate and standardize data across systems to deliver a single, actionable view of performance for faster, better decisions.
  • Automation: Build scalable workflows and data pipelines using Power Platform, Office 365 tools, Smartsheet, and Databricks to improve efficiency across business units.
  • Data Storytelling: Develop dashboards and visual reports that translate complex data into clear insight for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • AI-Enabled Analysis: Apply AI-assisted methods to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, and generate forward-looking insight ahead of stakeholder demand.
  • Client Impact: Support KPI reviews with rigorous analysis and actionable recommendations that improve performance and advance client objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Build trusted relationships across teams, identify opportunities for data-driven improvement, and help translate business needs into scalable solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, data analytics, computer science, operations research, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, operations research, or a similar analytical role.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VBA, Power Query, and complex data modeling.
  • Experience with Power BI or a comparable BI platform, including production-quality dashboards and data models.
  • Working knowledge of Databricks or the ability to ramp quickly; familiarity with lakehouse architecture, notebooks, and pipeline design is preferred.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and validation; experience with cloud data warehouse environments such as Redshift or similar platforms required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate needs, prioritize effectively, and operate with agility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and where analytics and automation can drive measurable improvement.
  • Ability to interpret contractual KPI requirements and translate them into accurate, reliable reporting.
  • Strong analytical rigor, including the ability to validate calculation logic, assess metric integrity, and identify issues before they create downstream risk.
  • Detail-oriented and intellectually curious, with the ability to trace data quality issues to root cause and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Power Platform and Office 365 tools, including Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Experience building and maintaining Smartsheet solutions, including forms, automated workflows, and source tables.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation, including the ability to write, maintain, and enhance production-quality scripts.
  • Experience building forecasting pipelines or predictive models using time series, regression, or machine learning techniques.
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional setting to accelerate analysis, improve output quality, and surface insight.
  • Experience constructing dataflows and tables in Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Experience designing relational or cloud-based data models, including fact and dimensional schemas.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 76,500.00 - $90,000.00
