Full Job Description
Peoples Gas Light & Coke Co, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Business Analyst - Construction in our Chicago, Illinois location. This position is part of a job family (Associate Business Analyst, Business Analyst, and Senior Business Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Summary

This Analyst position will support the Pipeline Replacement Program (PRP) in performing analysis and reporting. This position will be responsible for providing detailed construction analysis to the Vice President of Pipeline Replacement Program.

Job Responsibilities
• Perform analysis on large amounts of complex data to provide the business with fact-based insights
• Make recommendations and present alternatives to address business needs or resolve issues
• Support departmental reporting, metrics, budgets, dashboards, and analytics
• System configuration and administration
• Gather, define and document complex business requirements and processes
• Develop functional, process, and system documentation
• Lead projects or process improvements
• Serve as subject matter expert on systems, process, and user/customer impact
• Prepare business cases and cost/benefit analysis
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient process flow across organizational lines
• Anticipate, interpret, and translate overall business/industry trends into proactive/actionable solutions

Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Information Systems/Technology or related.
• Strong analysis, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
• Experience working with project management methodology preferred
• Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications
• 3+ year's directly related experience (corporate or field operations, construction operations/management, project controls, data analytics, or financial/operational reporting)
• Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, and/or similar data visualization and information management tools
• Experience compiling and translating data from multiple sources into actionable operational, financial, and performance reporting
• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn business processes, systems, and data sources and work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment

Pay Range Minimum: $68,436.68

Pay Range Maximum: $135,761.08

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
