Familiar with industry standard business process mapping, and reengineering. Prepares solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

Their core objective is to analyze current legacy system identify any inefficiencies, and translate business needs into actionable, technical solutions that improve and meets program goal. Work with the program to document the requirements that can be shared with the vendor once vendor is selected to provide the right solutions that will meet program needs.
- Meet with stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and surveys to discover business needs.
- Documenting specifications: Translate abstract ideas into structured Business Requirement Documents (BRD and Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs).
- Process Mapping: Create use cases to visually map current vs future state.
- Scope Management: Negotiate requirement trade-offs and manage expectations regarding project timelines and costs.
- Participate in testing phase: create test cases, and ensure the final product meets original requirement.
- Stakeholder communication: Serve as the central point of contact between users, technical teams and stakeholders.
This role is needed till the end of the project to ensure the solution is implemented to the stakeholder's satisfaction.
