Summary

About the Position: You will functions as the senior budget analyst for the DRU and reports directly to the Command Budget Officer. You will be responsible for developing policies and procedures as well serving as an advisor to the Command Budget Officer and G8.

Duties

Help

  • Serves as the liaison to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues between various financial and non-financial systems
  • Conducts ongoing reviews of assigned commands and programs to detect anomalies in budget execution.
  • Prepares, consolidates, and presents integrated budget data and analysis to senior leadership, including the Command Budget Officer, G8, and HQDA staff.
  • Represents USACIDC at conferences, seminars, and forums related to resource management and financial initiatives.
  • Analyzes financial data and prepares a variety of reports (daily, monthly, quarterly) detailing commitments, obligations, and available balances to support funding decisions.
  • Formulates, justifies, and executes the command budgets for RDTE, OMA, and Procurement appropriations.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administering complex financial systems to resolve user, data integration, and internal control conflicts, preparing consolidated financial reports to analyze commitment and obligation trends, executing budgets across diverse funding streams (such as OMA, RDTE, and limitation funding) in compliance with fiscal law, and establishing continuous contact with military and civilian stakeholders to negotiate funding options and ensure mutual understanding of financial objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.
