Summary

This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia.

Help

As a Budget Analyst, you will:

  • Plan, organize, and carry out the formulation and execution of the office budget, ensuring the effective integration of program and performance planning.
  • Support assigned programs in the management of financial resources by ensuring funds are obligated and allocated in a timely
    manner.
  • Provide expert advice to the staff on budget formulation, budget presentation, budget execution and the development of fiscal year and multi-year budget projections.
  • Assure the accuracy of data and conformance with policies and guidelines.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

  • Providing recommendations to senior level management or program managers on budget impacts.
  • Reviewing, tracking, controlling and/or approving multiple types of funding sources in accordance with pertinent laws and regulations.
  • Evaluating organization-wide financial goals and objectives or policies and strategies to assist managers with developing strategic financial operating plans.

If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
