SALARY:$42.925/hourly, with the opportunity to earn additional through overtime

ROLE SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Engineer (Instrumentation) at the Los Angeles Brewery is responsible for driving equipment reliability, system accuracy, and process performance in a high-speed manufacturing environment. This role focuses on the maintenance and optimization of process instrumentation and control systems through hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to execute and improve systems in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own troubleshooting, maintenance, and calibration of process instrumentation and control systems in a high-speed manufacturing environment, including flow, pressure, temperature, and analytical equipment
Maintain and optimize 4 620mA systems and analyzers (pH, conductivity, turbidity, chlorine, dissolved oxygen) to ensure system accuracy, reliability, and performance
Troubleshoot and repair valves, actuators, and process equipment to drive system uptime and operational efficiency (including but not limited to Gate, Globe, Ball, Butterfly, Check, Pressure, Double Block and Diaphragm).
Perform mechanical work on or around process piping.
Interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose issues and drive timely resolution
Execute work through planning and CMMS systems, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and SOP standards
Analyze maintenance and process data to drive improvements in equipment reliability and process performance
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED required; 4+ years of industrial experience or 2-year technical degree in instrumentation, controls, or related field preferred
Strong working knowledge of process instrumentation, control systems, and fluid systems (liquids and gases)
Proven ability to troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation to resolve technical issues
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Experience with safety practices (LOTO, confined space), CMMS systems (SAP), and Microsoft Excel preferred
Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends, with ability to perform physical work as required
Mig, Tig, Stick, Brazing and Soldering skills are a plus.
Sanitary Pipe welding ability is a plus.
