The office serves both the public and private sectors, supported by established agency contracts and long-standing client relationships.

Operating in and around New York City, this role offers the opportunity to strengthen GPI's market position, improve branch performance, and build on an established multidisciplinary team in a highly competitive market.

    • Build and maintain a predictable project pipeline by strengthening relationships with core clients and expanding into targeted accounts and services.
    • Serve as a visible market leader who strengthens executive-level client relationships, supports pursuits, and helps position GPI for continued growth.
    • Partner with Strategic Growth, Marketing, and Business Development leadership to pursue priority opportunities and convert wins into profitable delivery.
    • Evaluate potential projects, clients, and contracts to support sound decision-making and effective risk management.
    • Oversee proposal development and review, including scope alignment, fee strategy, and positioning to support profitable, well-qualified pursuits.
  • Lead Strong Project Delivery:
    • Lead Directors and Project Managers with clear expectations and accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
    • Strengthen Quality Management and project lifecycle controls to improve consistency, quality, and financial performance.
    • Support operational excellence that protects client satisfaction and supports effective risk management as the branch grows.
  • Build and Develop the Team:
    • Recruit and retain high-performing engineering and technical staff in coordination with Human Resources and talent acquisition personnel.
    • Develop leaders, including Directors and Project Managers, through coaching, mentoring, and structured professional development supported by GPI's career development and project management training resources.
    • Support professional development by encouraging staff to earn new credentials, deepen client relationships, and represent GPI effectively in the market.
    • Foster an engaging and supportive team environment where people feel valued, recognized, and motivated to do their best work.
    • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement aligned with GPI's strategic objectives.

Branch Leadership responsibilities:

In addition to the responsibilities above, the Branch Manager will:
  • Support branch operations and administrative teams in achieving their goals.
  • Set branch goals and priorities that align growth, delivery performance, client satisfaction, and team development.
  • Own branch performance across project delivery, staffing, and financial health, including utilization, forecasting, profitability, schedule, and risk management.
  • Implement a consistent operating process, including PM reviews, staffing and utilization checks, forecasting, and project closeout discipline.
  • Build and leverage relationships with other GPI branches to support client service, staffing, and pursuits as part of a One Team GPI approach.
  • Balance near-term delivery needs with long-term branch development so growth, staffing, and quality objectives remain aligned.

Leadership Expectations:
  • The Branch Manager is expected to lead in a way that balances GPI's strategic priorities, including employee satisfaction, quality, client satisfaction, financial strength, risk management, goals-oriented management, and continued growth.
  • This role will be fully supported by GPI's established corporate operating procedures and firmwide resources, including marketing capabilities, management guidance, and training programs.
