We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Bookkeeper to join the team in our New York City office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week

YOUR TEAM.

This position is rooted within the Private Client Services practice with a focus on providing various services for Family Offices and UHNWIs. We work with clients to help them achieve their financial and personal goals tied to their business, individual and familial needs. The right candidate will own the attributes of executive presence and emotional intelligence, as well as having a growth mindset. They will also be eager to collaborate on client teams as well as work independently demonstrating true ownership of their engagements while remaining results focused on assisting both internal and external clients in achieving their wide-ranging goals.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the Private Client Services Tax team in the preparation and organization of individual, trust, and estate tax engagements, including familiarity with Form 1040 and related schedules and supporting documentation
  • Prepare Forms 1099 and manage related electronic filings for individual and family office clients
  • Triage, organize, and track client-provided tax documents, ensuring completeness and maintaining checklists of outstanding items for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held entities
  • Assist with bookkeeping and administrative support for private client engagements, including reconciliation of financial data used for tax compliance and planning
  • Coordinate with tax professionals to support timely delivery of tax returns and client deliverables during peak filing seasons
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized electronic client files in accordance with firm and PCS standards
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the PCS Tax team as needed
  • Ability to work overtime as required during peak tax deadlines

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:
  • Ability to prepare Financial Statements from bookkeeping/accounting programs
  • Knowledge of A/R, A/P, GL, and general understanding of taxes such as payroll, sales tax, income tax
  • Must have strong attention to detail, work efficiently, and understand the importance of self-review of their work before submitting to the team
  • Must have day to day client exposure with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have the ability to prioritize work on several projects within a short period of time and handle the pressure of working within tight deadlines understanding the importance of being responsive
  • Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks, bill.com or other accounting software programs
  • 10+ years of bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Must be able to communicate positively and be a strong team player

In New York, the salary range for a Bookkeeper is $75,000 to $105,000.
