Principal Responsibilities: - Develops annual budget and financial forecasts; monitors expenditures and revenue
- Analyzes monthly performance reports and implements strategies to improve profitability
- Oversees daily operations including scheduling, workflow, and resource planning
- Monitors technician productivity, efficiency, and overall work quality
- Hires, trains, mentors, and evaluates body shop staff, ensuring ongoing development
- Manages estimates, invoicing, and insurance claim tracking with attention to accuracy
- Enforces company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
- Provides regular updates to senior leadership and participates in management meetings
- Reviews and closes repair orders, tracks work in progress, and ensures timely billing
- Identifies new revenue opportunities and process improvements
- Establishes performance goals and communicates expectations clearly to the team
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and insurance partners
Required Qualifications:- Red Seal Certification as a Body Shop Technician
- Minimum of seven years' experience in the heavy-duty truck body shop industry
- Proven leadership experience in a body shop or service management role
- Strong customer service background with experience in client-facing situations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and dealership management software
- In-depth understanding of estimating processes, repair procedures, and insurance protocols
- Knowledge of federal, provincial, and local regulations impacting body shop operations
