Full Job Description
Description & Requirements

The Global Strategy team within BI combines deep domain expertise across major asset classes and specialized markets across regions to deliver rigorous, relevant and actionable investment research. Through a collaborative, entrepreneurial model, strategists develop differentiated content, proprietary datasets and analytical tools while owning the research process from initial idea through publication and engagement with institutional clients.

We are seeking a Private Markets Analyst to help shape and advance our private markets research agenda. Bringing deep data fluency and broad expertise across PE, VC, Private Credit, Real Assets, and Infrastructure, you will transform complex datasets into differentiated, market-leading research. Operating at the intersection of strategy, fund analysis, and manager research, you will deliver high-impact market intelligence to the world's most sophisticated institutional investors.

This is your chance to join an expanding team dedicated to redefining how private markets are analyzed, tracked, and forecasted. In this role, your work will directly influence institutional portfolios, inform global allocation decisions, and help shape trends across a rapidly evolving asset class.

We'll trust you to:
• Be a thought leader in private capital markets by producing timely, data-rich research across asset classes and strategies
• Track macro trends impacting private markets-from deal flow and valuations to performance and portfolio construction
• Analyze and synthesize large, complex data sets to uncover insights others miss
• Develop your own brand by sharing your insights through webinars, events and media opportunities
• Engage directly with investors, fund managers, and other key market players
• Collaborate across geographies with our global team of strategists and industry experts
• Partner with internal Bloomberg departments to expand and enhance our private market data and product offerings

You'll Need to have:
• 5+ years of experience in private capital markets research, investment, asset allocation, or strategy
• Strong knowledge across private market strategies (private equity, venture capital, private credit, and real assets) and investment structures
• Familiarity with private market datasets and tools
• Excellent writing and communication skills-you know how to turn insights into compelling narratives
• Ability and willingness to integrate new technologies, including generative AI, to create an increasingly sophisticated research product with data-driven analysis
• A data-first approach with a proven track record to model, analyze, and interpret complex financial data
• A Bachelor's degree

We'd love to see:
• CFA, CAIA, MBA, or other advanced credentials
• Python or other coding skills for modeling and analysis
