Full Job Description
As part of Japan Global Solutions (JGS), this role serves as a trusted advisor to Japanese multinational clients by connecting their business priorities with Aon's Human Capital capabilities across Health, Wealth, Talent, Wellbeing, and Retirement.

This role combines strategic account management, business development, and client advisory responsibilities. Success is achieved through building executive relationships, developing strategic accounts, creating qualified opportunities, and delivering measurable business outcomes while supporting clients' long-term workforce and business objectives.

This role is based in our Chicago, IL office.

What the Day Will Look Like

Working closely with colleagues across Human Capital, Commercial Risk, Aon Japan, U.S. Account Service Teams, and global Aon teams, you will help bring the best of Aon to Japanese multinational clients operating in the U.S. and globally.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for Japanese multinational clients and prospects.
  • Build trusted relationships with CEOs, CHROs, CFOs, HR leaders, Benefits leaders, Finance leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Understand client business priorities and identify opportunities where Aon can deliver meaningful value.
  • Lead discussions on workforce strategy, employee benefits, wellbeing, retirement, and talent-related priorities.
  • Introduce relevant market insights, benchmarking, and Aon thought leadership to support client decision-making.
  • Coordinate Human Capital specialists to develop integrated client solutions.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of Human Capital opportunities within existing and prospective clients.
  • Expand Aon's Human Capital presence by identifying unmet client needs and connecting clients with appropriate resources.
  • Support strategic pursuits, account planning, and client development initiatives.
  • Contribute to annual goals related to opportunity creation, account expansion, relationship development, and revenue growth.
  • Translate trusted client relationships into sustainable business opportunities and long-term account growth.
  • Balance long-term relationship building with accountability for strategic account growth and measurable business outcomes.
  • Connect clients with relevant Human Capital, Commercial Risk, and other Aon capabilities; partner with Aon Japan, U.S. Account Service Teams, and global colleagues to support cross-border opportunities.
  • Represent Aon in client meetings, seminars, industry events, and Japanese business community activities.
  • Enhance Aon's visibility and credibility within the Japanese multinational market.
  • Support thought leadership, client communications, and educational initiatives that strengthen relationships and generate opportunities.

Skills and Experience That Will Lead to Success

  • 10+ years of experience in Human Capital consulting, employee benefits, retirement consulting, talent consulting, insurance brokerage, financial services, consulting, or professional services.

  • Experience supporting business development, account growth, and client leadership initiatives.
  • Experience contributing to measurable business outcomes through consultative relationship development.
  • Experience working with Japanese multinational organizations, strong cultural fluency across Japanese and U.S. business environments.
  • Strong understanding of Human Capital solutions, including Health, Wealth, Talent, Retirement, Wellbeing, Benefits, or Workforce Strategy.
  • Strategic account management and consultative selling capabilities.
  • Ability to build executive relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance relationship development, opportunity creation, and account growth.

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $170,000-$185,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
