Full Job Description
Summary:

The BI Architect will understand and translate business needs into analytical data models supporting long-term solutions.

Project Details:
  • Work with the BI Analysts & Data Architects to develop conceptual data models
  • Create logical and physical data models using best practices to ensure high data quality and reduced redundancy
  • Optimize and update logical and physical data models to support new and existing projects
  • Maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models along with corresponding metadata
  • Recommend opportunities for reuse of data models in new use cases
  • Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
  • Lead and provide technical guidance for design and implementation of data warehouse and governance systems
  • Ensure data usage is in line with privacy and security policies
  • Perform reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
  • Evaluate data models and physical databases for variances and discrepancies
  • Validate business data objects for accuracy and completeness
  • Establish standards and guidelines for developing data models
  • Guide BI Analysts and Self-Developed BI community on platform limitations and capabilities


Job Experience:
  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other data related field
  • Advanced degree in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science a plus
  • 8+ years of experience as Data Modeler /Data Architect creating data models and working in Data Architecture and Data Management solutions.

Hourly Rate: 55-72
