Full Job Description
Valtir, LLC is seeking a Benefits Manager to join our HR team in our Addison, TX HQ office. This position is responsible for overseeing the employee benefits program of our company. This includes developing and implementing a comprehensive benefits package that meets the needs of both the employer and the employees. The Benefits Manager will monitor the various plans and policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company objectives. They will also stay informed of industry changes and new developments to help the business keep up with best practice standards. In addition to leading the Company's benefits programs, the Benefits Manager will partner with payroll stakeholders to review and approve payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The Benefits Manager will serve as the designated payroll operations backup, providing coverage and support to maintain seamless payroll execution.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and administer the employee benefits package, including health, life, disability, supplemental and retirement plans
  • Monitor compliance with laws and regulations related to benefits
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and providers and broker and ensure procedures are followed to minimize costs
  • Provide guidance regarding benefits enrollment and utilization
  • Manage day-to-day benefits administration, including billing, enrollment, and changes
  • Design and execute employee communications relating to benefits and wellness programs
  • Monitor employee eligibility for benefits in accordance with company guidelines
  • Respond to inquiries, troubleshoot benefit issues, and resolve conflicts
  • Report benefits-related data and trends to senior leadership
  • Administers benefits including carrier feeds via ADP. Analyze and review all invoices for a self-funded plan and make appropriate corrections
  • Assist with benefits annual enrollment process, including updating ADP portal and carrier communication
  • Reconciliation of insurance costs monthly to payroll registers
  • Prepare annual 401k census report for testing, Form 5500 and manage the 401k audit
  • Partner with payroll stakeholders to review and approve payroll transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Serve as the designated payroll operations backup, providing coverage and support to maintain seamless payroll execution


What you'll need:

  • 5+ years of relevant benefits management experience coordinating with an external broker
  • Proficient w/ADP, ADP Workforce Now a plus
  • 401k familiarity including 5500 compliance/reporting and audits
  • Highly knowledgeable with all aspects of employee benefits programs
  • Strong analytical, organizational, time management, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to research and evaluate data to make informed decisions
  • Strong Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • V-lookups and Pivot table experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and under a fast-paced environment, initiative and adapt to multi-tasking situation
  • Dynamic, proactive and able to work under pressure and deliver results independently
  • Ability to critically evaluate issues and troubleshoot
  • Ability to cross-train others and collaborate as a valued team member
