Benefits Manager (U.S.)About the Role We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Benefits Manager to lead the strategy, administration, and continuous improvement of our U.S. employee benefits programs. Reporting to the Director of Total Rewards, you'll play a critical role in delivering competitive, compliant, and employee-centric benefits that support our people and our business.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with execution. You'll own day-to-day benefits operations while driving vendor performance, leveraging data to improve outcomes, and identifying innovative ways to enhance the employee experience.
What You'll DoBenefits Strategy & Program Management- Manage all U.S. health and welfare benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, voluntary benefits, and leave programs.
- Administer retirement programs, including 401(k), and partner with plan providers to ensure effective governance and employee engagement.
- Evaluate market trends and benchmark programs to ensure our benefits remain competitive and aligned with company philosophy.
- Develop recommendations for new or enhanced benefits based on employee feedback, utilization, market data, and business needs.
- Manage annual Open Enrollment, including project planning, communications, systems readiness, testing, and employee support.
Vendor Management- Serve as the primary relationship manager for benefits brokers, insurance carriers, retirement providers, leave administrators, and other external partners.
- Lead vendor performance reviews and hold partners accountable to established service levels.
- Support annual renewals, RFPs, contract negotiations, and implementation of new programs or vendors.
Operations & Administration- Ensure accurate and timely administration of all benefit plans throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Partner closely with HR Operations, Payroll, Finance, and HRIS teams to maintain accurate data and seamless administration.
- Resolve complex employee benefits issues with professionalism, empathy, and urgency.
- Develop and maintain benefits policies, procedures, documentation, and governance practices.
Compliance & Risk Management- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations, including ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, Section 125, and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate required filings, notices, audits, and annual compliance activities.
- Partner with Legal and external advisors to monitor legislative changes and recommend appropriate program updates.
Analytics & Continuous Improvement- Analyze utilization, participation, claims, and vendor performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Develop dashboards and reporting to support leadership decision-making.
- Continuously improve processes through automation, technology, and operational excellence.
- Partner with HRIS teams to optimize benefits administration systems and employee self-service capabilities.
What You'll Bring- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5-8+ years of progressive experience managing U.S. employee benefits.
- Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans, retirement programs, leave administration, and applicable U.S. benefits regulations.
- Experience leading Open Enrollment from planning through execution.
- Demonstrated success managing benefits vendors, brokers, and carrier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to inform decisions and improve programs.
- Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration platforms such as Workday, ADP, UKG, Dayforce, or similar systems.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to explain complex benefits topics to diverse audiences.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering an exceptional employee experience.
Preferred Qualifications- CEBS, CBP, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar professional certification.
- Experience supporting employees across multiple states.
- Experience participating in vendor selection, RFPs, and implementation projects.
- Experience working in a fast-growing technology, SaaS, fintech, or multinational organization.

Exempt role ranges from
($135,000USD to $165,000USD). Actual compensation is based upon factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
