The Benefits Operations Manager oversees day-to-day benefits administration in partnership with a team of Benefits Analysts, ensuring operational excellence and an optimized employee experience. In partnership with the Benefits COE and Compliance teams, this role executes benefits strategy, drives process improvements, supports Open Enrollment, and manages systems and controls to ensure efficiency and compliance. Strong knowledge of benefits administration and applicable federal and state regulations, including 401(k) plan administration and leave programs, is required.

What you'll do

  • Lead administration of employee benefits programs (health & welfare, 401(k), PTO, LOA, ESPP), ensuring operational excellence and a seamless employee experience across corporate and operating companies.
  • Oversee end-to-end benefits operations, including resolution of complex issues (eligibility, payroll deductions, HSAs, life events) and management of funding, billing, collections, refunds, and reconciliations
  • Own the benefits administration system, including responsibility for data integrity and operational processes, ensuring a positive user experience, audit readiness, regulatory compliance, and effective governance.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, integrations, and testing efforts to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the employee experience.
  • Support vendor relationships in partnership with the Benefits COE, overseeing performance, service delivery, escalations, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee leave administration programs, including parental leave, providing guidance to team members and operating companies while ensuring consistent administration and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Partner with the Benefits COE and Compliance teams to execute annual Open Enrollment and support M&A activity


What you'll need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience), with 5-8+ years of benefits administration and regulatory compliance experience
  • Experience leading or supervising teams
  • Process improvement experience and proficiency with HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Routinely: Engage in standard office activities such as standing, sitting, and using computers for extended periods.
  • Occasionally: Travel domestically up to 10% to attend team meetings or training.
