The Benefits Manager is responsible for leading enterprise-wide benefits operations and ensuring compliance across all programs. This role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and strategic alignment of benefit programs—including health, welfare, retirement, and leave of absence programs—through strong vendor partnerships, file feed management, and data governance.
This is a critical role in strengthening system integrations, optimizing file transmissions, and enhancing overall vendor communication protocols. This position partners cross-functionally to ensure benefit operations are scalable, compliant, and aligned with broader organizational priorities.
Operating with a high level of autonomy, this role partners closely with Operations Directors, Practice Managers, Medical Leaders, and HR partners to drive consistent HR practices, strengthen leader effectiveness, support employee experience, and ensure scalable people processes aligned with AmeriVet’s continued growth.
Serve as the subject matter expert for self-funded medical plans, overseeing plan design, administration, vendor management, and ongoing performance optimization.
Lead enterprise-level oversight of benefits operations, including health & welfare plans, self-funded medical plans, 401(k)/retirement plans, and leave of absence programs (FMLA, ADA, state leave)
Manage strategic vendor relationships (TPAs, carriers, recordkeepers, and leave administrators), ensuring proactive communication, accountability, and service optimization
