OverviewOur client is seeking a Benefits Configuration Workstream Lead to support a large-scale enterprise transformation focused on migrating TPA clients to a new benefits administration platform. This individual will play a key role in managing benefit configuration implementation activities, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful client transitions from analysis through testing and production readiness.
This role is part of a multi-year migration program supporting client implementations through 2028 and offers the opportunity to work alongside business stakeholders, testing teams, configuration specialists, and offshore resources on a highly visible enterprise initiative.
Responsibilities- Manage the Benefits Configuration implementation plan and transition tracker across multiple client migrations.
- Coordinate benefit configuration activities from requirements analysis through configuration, testing, and implementation.
- Track client and benefit plan progress across analysis, configuration, independent validation and verification (IV&V), testing, and production readiness.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to review benefit analysis outputs and client-specific configuration requirements.
- Coordinate with testing teams to review benefit testing scenarios, validate claim outcomes, and resolve configuration issues.
- Maintain and govern the enterprise benefits configuration inventory.
- Facilitate configuration clarifications and updates identified by the Configuration Team.
- Maintain HCC comparisons between CFI and CSF environments and coordinate with subject matter experts to validate and implement configuration updates.
- Manage workload and priorities for offshore Benefits Configuration resources.
- Partner with setup teams to resolve configuration questions and implementation issues.
- Prepare executive-level project status reports, implementation metrics, and leadership updates.
- Ensure project documentation, trackers, and implementation artifacts remain accurate and current.
- Support knowledge transfer activities and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Required Qualifications- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, implementation, configuration, or workstream leadership.
- Healthcare industry experience required; health insurance or benefits administration experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with benefits configuration, benefits administration, or health plan implementation workflows.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, including offshore resources.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret business requirements and configuration documentation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, functions, reporting, and tracking large data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting project updates to leadership.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with HealthRules is strongly preferred and will distinguish candidates.
- Experience supporting benefits configuration or health plan implementation initiatives.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Experience with SharePoint, Clarity PPM, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience partnering with testing teams during enterprise system implementations.
- Experience working within large healthcare or health insurance organizations.

They are comfortable managing multiple client implementations simultaneously, coordinating with offshore teams, and translating complex operational activities into clear, executive-level updates. Candidates with HealthRules experience, health insurance benefits knowledge, and strong Excel skills will be especially competitive.
