Job Title: Behavioral Health Service Line Development Manager (BCBA)

Location: Lafayette, CA (hybrid-3 days per week in office)

FLSA Status: Exempt

Compensation: $130,000 + opportunities for a quarterly bonus

Reports to: Operations Director

We are seeking a passionate Behavioral Health Service Line Development Manager to join our operations team and launch and scale a new behavioral service line from the ground up. In this leadership role, you will navigate California and other states' Medicaid and commercial insurance landscapes while cultivating strategic partnerships with key entities such as state and county behavioral health departments, community-based organizations, and educational programs. You will recruit the initial clinical team, build a standardized playbook to seamlessly expand our services, and manage the operational, financial, and strategic aspects of scaling this service line in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement the strategic roadmap for launching and scaling new Behavioral Health service lines across multiple states, including California.
  • Develop and manage the operational infrastructure for the behavioral service line, including provider credentialing and standardized processes.
  • Oversee navigating complex insurance landscapes to secure Medicaid and commercial payer vendorization and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Spearhead the recruitment and onboarding of the initial clinical teams to support service expansion.
  • Collaborate with the senior management team to align behavioral services business growth with CBEM's macro fiscal milestones and strategic expansion goals.
  • Analyze market trends and regulatory shifts to identify and capitalize on new expansion opportunities for the behavioral service line.
  • Establish and maintain key relationships with state Medicaid offices and commercial insurance payers to expedite service authorization and billing processes.
  • Leverage strategic partnerships with county behavioral health departments, community-based organizations, and key stakeholders to drive service line growth, improve market penetration, and optimize resource coordination through integrated care delivery models.
  • Spearhead cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Clinical, Facilities, Human Resources, and Quality Assurance to coordinate the resources, operational connections, subject-matter expertise, and information necessary to support the successful launch and expansion of CBEM's Behavioral Health services.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive operational and clinical leadership experience, with a proven track record of launching, scaling, or managing an ABA service line or multi-site behavioral health practice.
  • Certifications: Current certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) in good standing.
  • Core Competencies: Strong foundation in ABA principles, data analysis, ethical decision-making, and professional communication skills.
  • Other Requirements: Valid driver's license or reliable means of transportation.
