Full Job Description
Key responsibilities
  • Provide support in driving growth across M&A by assisting in Business Development (BD) plan development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with global BD teams to ensure the local office remains connected to the global network and strategies.
  • Help to ensure that local M&A client targeting strategies align with global BD growth objectives and firm strategy.
  • Participate in building and maintaining relationships and interconnectivity across broader Business Development & Marketing (BDM) function, including Clients & Sectors teams, to drive growth in priority sectors and market opportunities, and help to create compelling, M&A go-to-market campaigns to engage target clients.
  • Support the execution of focused M&A sector, and client growth plans, helping to facilitate cross-selling opportunities within global product teams.
  • Provide timely and high-quality contributions to win strategies and assist with developing market-leading pitch and panel submissions.
  • Use specialized knowledge to support the use of data-led insights for horizon scanning, opportunity spotting, pipeline management and client targeting/development for M&A services.
  • Conduct analysis of market information and monitor external trends to assist in shaping BD initiatives and goals.
  • Assist in the effective utilization of MarTech and data infrastructure to provide proactive, targeted M&A and TMT/IP insights.
  • Help to ensure alignment with global processes and the effective use of the Firm's shared services.


Qualifications & experience
  • Experience in business development supporting M&A services, preferably in legal or professional services.
  • Knowledge of M&A transactions, deal structures, and market trends.
  • Experience supporting BD strategy development and implementation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across global teams and functions.
  • Experience contributing to pitch materials and client proposals.
  • Analytical skills with ability to interpret market data and identify opportunities.
  • Understanding of cross-selling strategies in professional services.
  • Experience using marketing technology and data tools for BD insights.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of global professional services processes and shared service models.


The base salary range offered for this role will be between $130,000 and $150,000 and represents the firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees and location, as well as the needs of the firm. The total compensation package for this position may include overtime pay, discretionary bonuses and other benefits.
