JOB DESCRIPTION

Organization Description:

The Basel Measurement and Analytics (BM&A) group within the CIO Treasury function is responsible for partnering with JPMC functions, including Capital Management, Risk Management, Model Development & Review, Risk Reporting, Capital Policy and the LOB’s to establish control and govern best practices and accountability for the Regulatory Capital process. In addition, BM&A produces firm-wide credit risk regulatory capital results on a monthly basis. The team oversees the implementation and reporting infrastructure enhancements of Basel 3 and other Capital-related requirements. The team is also responsible for stress testing capital calculations for CCAR and Risk Appetite, Quantitative Impact Studies (QIS) for regulators, and ad-hoc requests from senior management. 

We are looking for a candidate for the role of Associate to join the Wholesale Capital Projects and Data Development team.  As an Associate in Wholesale Capital Projects & Data Development, you’ll drive large, complex regulatory change (including Basel III Finalization) end-to-end—partnering across the firm, defining requirements, and supporting delivery of a new reporting and analytics application. This role is key to our ongoing delivery of regulatory changes including latest changes introduced with Basel III Finalization (a.k.a. Basel 3 Endgame in US / CRR3 in EU).

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate across functional teams to formulate execution strategies and propose innovative approaches to implement new regulations, capital interpretations, and model changes
  • Build strong working relationships with peer teams, project managers, and subject matter experts to drive consistent, enterprise‑level implementation of change
  • Drive documentation and delivery of comprehensive, high quality Business Requirements and Functional Specifications
  • Use data, structured analysis, and well‑crafted narratives to influence stakeholders and drive consensus where there are competing priorities or differing views
  • Prepare agendas, working group decks, status reports, talking points, etc. for leadership updates, stakeholder forums, town halls, and regulatory change working groups, and document actions, decisions, and follow‑ups
  • Maintain central project plans, milestones, dashboards, and risk/issue/action/decision logs; track progress against commitments and escalate slippage or emerging risks as needed across multiple projects
  • Support the design and execution of change management activities (communications, training input, stakeholder readiness) to embed new processes, systems, and controls
  • Liaise with appointed project contacts to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project
  • Perform both Functional and User Acceptance Testing
  • Adherence to a challenging delivery schedule in a fast-paced and fluid environment

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Minimum of 3 years of treasury, financial or regulatory reporting experience at a large financial institution
  • Experience working in large and complex initiatives across multiple functional groups in a high demand environment
  • Self-starter with ability to independently manage own work across initiatives and demonstrated ability to multi-task and respond quickly to changing priorities or issues
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience presenting to large groups
  • Proficiency in MS Office product suite (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint) 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly adaptable and forward-looking, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and the practical use of emerging tools, including AI, to improve day-to-day effectiveness, streamline workflows, and enhance decision-making. This includes a willingness to experiment with new technologies, integrate them into routine tasks, and apply human oversight to ensure quality and appropriateness.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities: 

  • Knowledge of Basel regulatory rules for Wholesale, Counterparty, Retail and/or Basel III Finalization regulation 
  • Ability to query large datasets using SQL, Databricks, Alteryx etc.
  • An understanding of key Data Governance and Principals
  • Experience with data structures, systems, and large and complex datasets
