Risk Officer to join our growing
Banking as a Service (BaaS) team.
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys digging into financials, identifying risk, spotting trends, and helping leadership make informed decisions.
As the
MRV Connect Risk Officer, you'll take a big-picture look at the financial and operational health of our BaaS programs and relationships.
You'll analyze performance, evaluate third-party risk, support capital and forecasting decisions, work with legal counsel on agreements, and turn complex information into meaningful insights for senior leadership.

What You'll Do- Analyze the financial performance and overall risk of MRV Connect relationships, including revenue, expenses, profitability, KPIs, and emerging trends
- Support forecasting, budgeting, capital allocation, and reserve calculations
- Identify financial, operational, third-party, and regulatory risks and recommend practical ways to mitigate them
- Prepare and present risk and performance reporting to senior leadership
- Partner with our Data Analyst to conduct transaction testing against underwriting and risk guidelines
- Develop and maintain model risk management processes and tracking
- Coordinate relationship risk assessments, quarterly reviews, and follow-up reporting
- Review contracts and amendments and coordinate with external legal counsel and Bank leadership
- Partner across Finance, Compliance, Operations, Legal, and MRV Connect to strengthen controls and processes
- Maintain relationship-specific contingency and business continuity plans
- Stay current on evolving BaaS, banking, regulatory, and third-party risk trends
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience in risk management, financial analysis, compliance, banking, or financial services
- Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate what matters
- Understanding of operational, third-party, regulatory, and financial risk
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with reporting tools, dashboards, and data
- Ability to evaluate complex situations and turn findings into practical, solution-oriented recommendations
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior leadership, external partners, and legal counsel
- Experience with Banking as a Service (BaaS), third-party financial services relationships, or partner oversight is a plus
