Compensation: $150,000 - $165,000 / year
DescriptionWe are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to help build and scale enterprise-grade applications that power critical business operations. You will work closely with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineers across the organization to deliver high-quality software solutions from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python and Django
- Build and maintain financial reconciliation data platform with AWS cloud services
- Build reliable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications that support business growth
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions and deliver products end-to-end
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, deployment, and operational support
- Leverage modern AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality
- Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- 3-5 years of professional experience developing backend applications using Python and Django
- Experience building scalable, production-grade enterprise applications
- Strong experience with AWS services, including:
- SNS
- SQS
- API Gateway
- Step Functions
- S3
- Experience working with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code and other modern AI engineering assistants
- Proven ability to partner with stakeholders and deliver products from ideation through production deployment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Passion for software craftsmanship, maintainable system design, testing, observability, and continuous improvement
Nice to Have- Experience with AWS Glue, S3, and cloud-based data pipelines for processing, transforming, and integrating large-scale business data
- Experience working in retail and e-commerce organizations and applying AI solutions to areas such as inventory, fulfillment, customer experience, and financial operations
