The Assistant Vice President, Financial Planning & Analysis Business Partner serves as a financial advisor and advocate to our Custom Risk Solutions (CRS). The Assistant VP FP&A Business Partner is accountable for advising and supporting the CRS strategic and operational decision making through insights that drive better business performance. The position will take a pivotal leadership role in each of the areas of responsibility through strong partnership with the HSB CRS Business Unit Leaders, the HSB Finance Leadership team including required support to our subsidiaries and the Munich Re Controlling functions in Princeton and Munich.
Education and Experience:
§ A bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Investments or related field is required or equivalent work experience.
§ Masters degree in Finance / MBA preferred
§ Finance business consulting experience
§ 10+ years Finance and business industry experience
§ 5+ years experience in the insurance industry
§ 5+ years leadership experience managing cross functional teams and influencing senior management
§ Prior leadership and management experience required - a well-rounded background, showing breadth of business experience and steady promotion through increasing responsibilities.
§ Anticipates needs of the customer and takes a proactive approach to ensure they are met.
§ Hires and develops the right people to provide the business unit support necessary.
