This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, and engineers, you will help to coordinate the schedule and priorities of design work for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the avionics overall strategy. As an Avionics Technical Project Manager you will manage the project schedule, work breakdown, and cost; coordinate schedules to integrate avionics development with the overall program. Collaborate with stakeholders across the program to define avionics requirements and their dependencies on other spacecraft systems for reusable, reliable, and safe human space flight. Create project management plans, and support the avionics harnessing team with other guiding artifacts, including architecture design descriptions and verification plans. Present status, risks, variances, and recovery plans to program management. Track technical performance measures to support the development team in meeting defined performance goals

Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience.
  • Experience with Primavera (P6), or other Project Management tools
  • Experience with critical path scheduling, IMP/IMS, risk management, requirements management, and Cost Account Management such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Strong technical background in a relevant area of avionics hardware development (e.g., harness/EWIS design, electrical interconnect, connector engineering, or wire harness manufacturing).
  • Experience managing development projects, including requirements, priorities, scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-graduate degree in electrical/computer/aerospace engineering or management
  • PMP Certification
  • Familiar with agile project management; scrum master experience a plus.
  • Experience with flight hardware development, qualification, and supplier management.


Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $130,706.00 - $182,987.70
