Job Description:

Responsible for developing, advancing, and communicating technology strategies that support optimized customer worksites and deliver safety, labor and productivity value customers. Collaborates with internal partners, including commercial and engineering teams, to align emerging technologies and industry trends with product roadmaps to meet the current and future needs of customers. Drives organizational alignment and priorities in a dynamic environment with continuously evolving business and customer needs to ensure execution of the product roadmaps.

What You Will Do:
  • Communicating product vision to a large and diverse organization with different skillsets, cultures, and geographic locations to align and motivate toward a common objective.
  • Working with commercial teams, business partners, and customers to understand product needs and define appropriate technology product solutions.
  • Collaborating with machine product partners, internal partners, and other parties to communicate the technology needs and strategy as well as gain alignment to product roadmaps.
  • Applying good business acumen to defining multi-generational product plans (MGPPs) that align with customer needs, focusing on the appropriate market opportunities and addressing competitive threats within business constraints.
  • Leading project initiation by defining high-level program scope, schedule, cost, and requirements and working with delivery teams to structure and establish project teams.


What You Have:
  • Communicating Complex Concepts; Knowledge of effective presentation tools and techniques to ensure clear understanding; ability to use summarization and simplification techniques to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear language appropriate to the audience.
  • Effective Communications; Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Managing Multiple Priorities; Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
  • Strategic Thinking; Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors.
  • Influencing Through Expertise; Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to use these to deepen expertise and impact or challenge decisions within and outside the organization.

Additional Information:
  • This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office. Alternative locations are Dallas/Irving, TX, or Tucson, AZ.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
