Role Summary:

The Autonomy Solutions Consultant will drive customer adoption of autonomy, automation, and digital solutions by serving as a trusted advisor across customer, dealer, and internal teams. This role supports go-to-market execution, evaluates operational opportunities, guides solution deployment, and helps customers achieve measurable gains in safety, productivity, utilization, and efficiency.

The consultant also supports broader autonomy strategy by translating customer needs and field insights into practical recommendations that strengthen solution adoption and business growth.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):

  • Partner with customers and dealers to assess autonomy readiness, operational priorities, and technology adoption opportunities.

  • Guide deployment of autonomy, automation, and digital solutions that improve safety, productivity, utilization, and efficiency.

  • Deliver customer and dealer training to support readiness, safe execution, and effective technology use.

  • Analyze site data and performance results to quantify value, build business cases, and recommend improvements.

  • Support autonomy opportunities through demonstrations, workshops, presentations, and customer success planning.

  • Share customer insights and field feedback with internal teams to improve products, deployment practices, and adoption outcomes.

What You Will Have (Core Skills):

Customer Focus: Build trusted customer relationships by anticipating operational needs, delivering responsive support, and advocating for solutions that create measurable value.

Autonomy Products & Solutions: Apply knowledge of autonomy technologies, digital platforms, and operational workflows to guide deployment, adoption, validation, and scalable customer solutions.

Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Use operational data, business insight, and structured problem solving to evaluate risks, compare alternatives, and recommend practical solutions.

Effective Communications: Communicate complex technical concepts clearly through presentations, workshops, and data-driven recommendations tailored to diverse stakeholders

Technical Excellence: Use technical expertise and customer operational data to support deployment, optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement of autonomy solutions.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Experience supporting autonomy strategies that improve safety, productivity, utilization, cost efficiency, and operational performance.

  • Ability to use operational data, customer feedback, and basic business analysis to support technology recommendations.

  • Knowledge of how customer needs, field insights, and deployment results inform product improvements and scalable solutions.

  • Ability to support deployment readiness, stakeholder coordination, training activities, and adoption milestone tracking.

  • Motivation to help customers adopt safer, more productive, and increasingly autonomous operations through measurable outcomes.

  • Work location: Irving, TX or Peoria, IL

  • Relocation assistance is available

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
