Role Summary:

The Senior Autonomy Solutions Consultant serves as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert for autonomy, automation, and intelligent technology solutions. This role partners with customers, dealers, sales teams, and product organizations to shape autonomy strategies, accelerate adoption, and deliver measurable improvements in safety, productivity, efficiency, and business performance.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers defining autonomy and automation strategies aligned to business objectives.

  • Lead discovery sessions to assess operational challenges, workforce readiness, safety opportunities, and autonomy use cases.

  • Build business cases that demonstrate the value of autonomy through productivity, utilization, safety, and cost improvements.

  • Guide customers through autonomy deployment, change management, operational readiness, and adoption planning.

  • Conduct site assessments and operational reviews to identify opportunities for expansion, optimization, and scale.

  • Translate customer insights, operational data, and market trends into product roadmap recommendations.

  • Partner with engineering, product, technology, sales, dealer, and commercial teams to shape solutions and support customer success.

  • Deliver executive presentations, workshops, training, and customer-facing content that connect autonomy solutions to business outcomes.

  • Track customer success metrics, identify growth opportunities, and support long-term autonomy business performance.

What You Will Have (Core Skills):

Customer Focus: Builds trusted customer partnerships by aligning autonomy strategies to operational goals, measurable outcomes, and long-term business value.

Autonomy Solutions & Technology: Applies deep knowledge of autonomy systems, automation technologies, digital platforms, and connected equipment to guide deployment and integration decisions.

Strategic Consulting & Critical Thinking: Analyzes complex operational challenges, evaluates readiness and risk, and recommends practical, data-driven autonomy adoption strategies.

Executive Communication: Communicates complex technical concepts clearly and influences executive decisions through credible, outcome-focused storytelling.

Change Management & Transformation Leadership: Leads readiness, stakeholder engagement, and adoption planning to help customers navigate workforce and operational transformation.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • A proven ability to connect autonomy strategies to measurable improvements in safety, productivity, utilization, cost efficiency, and operational performance.

  • Experience advising executive stakeholders using business cases, operational data, and ROI analysis to support technology investment decisions.

  • The ability to translate customer needs, field insights, and deployment results into product recommendations that improve scalability, usability, and commercial value.

  • A track record of driving deployment success through readiness planning, stakeholder alignment, workforce transition support, and adoption milestone tracking.

  • Experience helping customers advance toward safer, more productive, and increasingly autonomous operations through measurable adoption, performance, and value outcomes.

Summary Pay Range:

$147,760.00 - $221,640.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
