Hyundai Santa Monica is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to join our team. Candidates must have 2+ years of automotive technician experience, preferably in a dealership setting. Independent shop experience will be considered for candidates with the right level of technical expertise. Join a team focused on quality repairs and getting vehicles ready for our customers.
ResponsibilitiesThe Used Car Technician will be responsible for servicing and repairing multiple vehicles makes and models as assigned by the service department.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.
- Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
Qualifications- Required: At least 2 years of prior experience as an Automotive Used Car Technician is required.
- Required: Must have experience performing maintenance and repairs on all makes and models.
- Preferred: Smog License (Test and Repair) and ASE and manufacturer certifications are preferred. A/C certification is also a bonus.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Compensation- The estimated hourly rate range for this position is $33.80 - $45.00.
