Overview

Who we're looking for

Toyota's Production Engineering Battery department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Seibi Lead Technician to work in the Battery group.

The primary responsibility of this position is to execute as the North American machine set up personnel (SV), increase Operation Availability (OA) through continuous improvement and problem-solving technical issues.

What you'll be doing
  • Participate in project planning for Seibi with PE
  • Make detailed Seibi schedules that align to PE master schedule for project work
  • Directly supporting Technicians through a mentorship pertaining to Seibi activity
  • Support technical development of team and other cross functional groups
  • Develop & manage denwacho for commissioning process
  • Provide written and verbal project status reports to management and other groups
  • Recognize Seibi member struggles and implement countermeasures
  • Lead effective communication with Mgr. and Seibi members that require solutions
  • Evaluate Seibi task for safety using JSA's and implement risk mitigation plan
  • Perform "hands-on" Seibi tasks alongside T/M's as needed to complete work objectives
  • Positive attitude with proven results on a cross functional team


What you bring
  • Technical associate's degree or higher or equivalent field experience
  • Experience with complex manufacturing equipment such as component assembly machines, robots, high volume processing machines
  • Experienced technical problem solving and implementation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience teaching technical subject matter in classroom and/or on the job training
  • PLC programming experience including the ability to read, interpret, modify and set up communications
  • Ability to support weekends, off shift, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work the two shutdown times of the year in July and December
  • Ability for business travel, both domestic and international will be up to 30%

  • Toyopuc PLC Programming experience
  • Mitsubishi PLC Programming Experience
  • Working experience with Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience gathering and analyzing quality data
  • Experience presenting and reporting out to Management and Executives
  • Experience with Production Processes including Standardized Work (STW) and Job Instruction Sheets (JIS)
  • New model launch experience
  • TBP Panel Completion
