Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Testing and debugging of automation equipment while applying knowledge of engineering technology as necessary.
Programs, troubleshoots, and evaluates any design considerations on new, existing systems and equipment which will include maintaining a backup library of PLC, instrumentation software and electrical documentation.
Designs & implements engineering solutions that meet the project requirements while monitoring budget constraints to maximize production equipment quality and efficiency.
Preparation of project scope, cost justification and AFE (overall cost proposal) to senior management for approval as required.
Applies mechanical theory, mechanical testing procedures and related knowledge to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production equipment.
Evaluates, selects, and coordinates with outside vendors for design, machining and fabrication of parts and systems.
Willingness to travel for projects on short notice including weekends - 70% Travel (typically 1-2weeks at a time)

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
