Full Job Description
Your Contribution

  • Explores and implements new ways to automate and simplify systems and process
  • Conducts research, analyze and evaluate information to implememt best practices
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain monitoring systems for CNC based glass processing machines
  • Integrate new technology into the existing glass processing systems (automatic loading, automatic inspections, additional machine controls)
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain systems for glass melting and forming processes
  • Create systems and processes for integration of data between manufacturing and business data systems
  • Develop procedures for using new and existing systems and equipment
  • Creates preventive maintenance procedures for systems, machines and equipment
  • Collects and analyzes machine, process, and facility data
  • Participate in systems and equipment evaluations and troubleshooting
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of the electrical safety program
  • Monitors for compliance to: specifications, accepted engineering practices, Codes, SCHOTT standards, and applicable safety regulations
  • Plans, organizes and direct project activities
  • Identifies quality issues and writing reports
  • Coordinates the work of outside resources with involved parts
  • Recommends equipment and facility improvement and cost reductions in cooperation the Engineering team
  • Supports company-wide programs and initiatives such as 5S, TPM, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Your Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3 - 5 Years of professional experience with a background in industrial automation design (software and hardware)
  • English, MS Office
  • Programming, Industrial Networks, SCADA Systems, PLC Systems, OIT Design, MES/ERP Systems, SQL/Database Design, CAD, CNC integration, Motors/Drives/Controls, Robotics, Computer Vision, Industrial Power Distribution, Electrical Safety
