The AUKUS, Submarines, and Industrial Base Group (ASIG), within the Sea, Land, Air Division, provides timely, objective, analytic assessments that integrate technical, operational, programmatic, policy and business analysis to NAVSEA Team Submarine program offices and key stakeholders surrounding submarine platform construction. Team Submarine unifies submarine platform procurement activities, which includes the Columbia-class SSBN program (a Major Defense Acquisition Program and the Navy's top acquisition priority), the Virginia-class SSN program and the new SSN-X program (developing the next generation attack submarine), to bring improved capabilities to our undersea forces. Analysts and Engineers supporting Team Submarine will continue SPA's decades of support to the SSBN force, as well as supporting oversight of cutting-edge attack submarine construction, assisting in developing the design requirements for the SSN platform of the future, and helping plan and execute new and innovative strategies to strengthen the critical submarine shipbuilding industrial base. These are high-profile, major acquisition and manufacturing programs of significant importance to the future capabilities of the US Navy in an era of renewed strategic competition. Responsibilities The Program Analyst will provide support to the NAVSEA AUKUS program, focusing on programmatic controls support to undersea platform acquisition. Responsibilities will include working with the AUKUS I&A Program Controls team to convey schedule analysis and reporting to AUKUS I&A Senior Leaders and trilateral partners. This position includes strategic planning and coordination of program wide activities, but is focused on program scheduling with aspects of all other program management controls. This position is located at SPA HQ, with frequent travel to client site in Washington, DC. There are some opportunities to travel to partner and industry stakeholder locations. Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • 7+ years professional experience • 5+ years experience with DoD • Proficient in using Microsoft Office, including Word and PowerPoint, to communicate to decision makers • Experience with scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Open Plan Professional, etc.) • Experience with program management (e.g., schedule analysis, metrics packaging, risk analysis) • Current DoD security clearance - minimum Secret, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment Additional Qualifications Desired, but not required: • Prior experience as a junior officer • Service onboard a U.S. submarine as a junior officer • Experience with Team Submarine and NAVSEA • Experience/knowledge of Navy acquisition program office organizations and processes • Experience working with international partners Pay Range Information At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
